UV Tattoos - Tattoo Pictures
Blacklight or UV tattoos can be seen under a black light but are invisible or only partially visible in normal light. The ink received USFDA approval in 1995 for use in animals, plants and fish for the purpose of tracking migration, growth patterns, breeding habits… No other tattoo inks have received approval in this way. This ink is most likely the safest ink on the market. It contains NO phosphors. it is not radioactive, it does not contain EverGlow, it does not cause cancer and it’s FDA approved.

Wow, taking something you’ll regret doing 20 years from now to a completely new level.
June 25th, 2008 at 8:19 am
Wow, taking something you’ll regret doing 10 years from now to a completely new level.
June 25th, 2008 at 8:47 am
youve got to be f***ing kidding me…
June 25th, 2008 at 9:44 am
Thats fuckin badass
June 25th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Is the ink visible under normal light?
June 25th, 2008 at 10:38 am
Yes, the same FDA that approves Splenda, Olean and Aspartame.
Cause, ya know, we can TRUST them.
June 25th, 2008 at 11:14 am
ya the ink is competely invisible under normal light. I think its kool, it allows you to get a tattoo on your hand, without the job loss
June 25th, 2008 at 12:21 pm
WOW YOU GUYS ARE ALL A BUNCH OF BITCHES.
ITS A TATTOO. GET OVER IT.
JAMIE,JOE AND MR.SLEEP…YOU NEED TO GET OUTSIDE INTO THE REAL FUCKIN WORLD.
YOU FAT PRICKS.
WHY DO YOU EVEN WASTE TIME WITH YOUR DUMB COMMENTS ABOUT SHIT.
IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, PRESS STUMBLE AGAIN AND MOVE THE FUCK ON.
GEEEEEZ.
i think these are badass - btw.
June 25th, 2008 at 12:38 pm
@ Charlie
Nope that depends on your skin tone. White UV ink can be use for almost invisible tattoos but i guess it all depends on your skin and the scaring.
June 25th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
Uhm…why didn’t *you* just move on, Roy?
June 25th, 2008 at 2:15 pm
Who says you have to regret tattoos? you lot must be some seriously narrow mided retards to think that way
June 25th, 2008 at 2:17 pm
Wow, that’s pretty awesome. I’d be a little wary of it, like someone said before, just because the FDA approved it doesn’t mean it’s safe… but still, pretty badass.
June 25th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Angry Roy you’re a hero.
I think they’re badass also.
June 25th, 2008 at 3:16 pm
@Angry Roy
My gosh, you really are angry aren’t you? And, certainly, typing entirely in capitals is sure to convey your feeling of disgust towards the nay-sayers of the tattoo world.
but the question is: who gives a fuck what you think? or, for a matter of fact, what they think? getting yourself worked up about something is NOT going to change it.
how do you know their body size? it could be glandular, you know.
dumb comments? IM TYPING ALL IN CAPITALS FUCK SHIT BOLLOCKS GET OUT FAGS. i see! only NOW am i one of the clever ones in the group. of course.
why don’t you move on? why don’t i move on? in fact, i will. hopefully someone will have a chuckle at your expense. maybe at mine! meh!
someone CAPSFUCK me.
June 25th, 2008 at 3:35 pm
I agree with Mr. Roy
STUMBLE IS AMAZING!
Damn right they’re badass
almost as badass as you Angry Roy
i love you <3
June 25th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
That is beyond f-ing cool. Like, wow. Now I wanna get that tattoo I’ve been pondering, lol.
June 25th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
Debbie & Joe avoid regret by avoiding anything that could possibly have significant consequences.
June 25th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
sam, i believe the entire point of angry roy’s comment was wasted on you.
prick.
June 25th, 2008 at 7:56 pm
I, for one, think that that’s pretty friggin awesome.
June 25th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
This is perfect - I’m thinking some woman needs to get a lower back “trailer tat” that looks like a big SPLAT but only shows up in UV light. Now THAT would be funny !
June 25th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Well… this is sure misleading…
this ink is NOT is NOT FDA approved.
the FDA has not approved any tattoo ink at all. Look it up.
The ink was originally used as a way to tag fish. What the FDA has approved is that those fish are ok to eat.
Not to mention the ink will probably fade and or spread horribly over many years because it is made from materials not natural to the human body.
My guess is even if it doesn’t cause health problems many years from now, the tattoos will definitely look like shit in 10 years
June 25th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
oh and one last thing… the “micro capsules” that prevent it from spreading won’t help prevent it. It will keep it in at first, until the skin itself spreads and the capsules spread themselves.
Also people have enough problems with protecting their tattoos from the sun. With tattoos that aren’t visible in regular light it’s going to go all out the window and the sun will eat the crap out of it.
All the UV tattoos that i have see come into my shop, have aged horribly.
Seriously though… how often are you under black light? Most of those people rarely see their tattoos and carry around a mini black light to show it off in an attempt to be cool
June 25th, 2008 at 9:47 pm
Now… if you were a tattoo artist…and you knew people that got soooo drunk you could get away with anything… WOW… what a great practical joke that could be….
the payoff…when they go to a blakclight club…
” please dont tell me Im tattooed” would be a good start….
June 25th, 2008 at 9:51 pm
Lawlz, I feel that I have Stumbled into a hostile environment.
Anyway, the point is, these tattoos are really pretty, and I think it’s a GOOD fucking idea. In that, not only does it LOOK GOOD UNDER BLACKLIGHT, but YOU CAN’T SEE IT OTHERWISE. So those who made the “Taking a regret to a new level” comments, are fucking dumb. The only reason you would even see your tattoo to regret it is if you chill out in blacklights often, which, if you hang out in them at ALL, chances are, you wouldn’t mind having a tattoo.
June 25th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Uhm…why didn’t *you* just move on, Medlam?
It is obnoxious to hear people say stupid things like that, get over these petty issues and enjoy the page.
As for the UV Tattoos, badass, in most conditions invisible to standard light, but like all tattoos, can leave scarring. How would you explain scarring in the shape of bones to your employer? If you are that worried, don’t get one, or don’t get one where people can see it. I’ve got one on my back, got it the day I turned 18. Its been two years and I am looking to get two more. It is just expression.
June 25th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
whats the difference between people with and people without tattoos?
tattooed people dont judge those without.
btw- can i get a tat wit that ink in ireland
June 25th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
@Sam
I’M GOING TO RESPOND TO YOUR POST THAT I DON’T LIKE BY BEING A TOTAL ASSHOLE AND REFUTING POINTS THAT WERE CLEARLY MADE JUST TO INSULT THEM AND NOT TO ACTUALLY SPECULATE ON THEIR WEIGHT. I’M ALSO GOING TO GET WORKED UP ABOUT HOW YOU SHOULDN’T GET WORKED UP ABOUT STUFF BECAUSE YOU WON’T CHANGE IT IN AN ATTEMPT TO CHANGE HOW PEOPLE RESPOND TO BE MORE LIKE THE WAY I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD POST, BECAUSE ALTHOUGH NOBODY GIVES A FUCK ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK, THEY SHOULD GIVE A FUCK ABOUT WHAT I THINK. THEN I’M GOING TO BE A SARCASTIC DOUCHEBAG. RANDOM CURSE WORDS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO ILLUSTRATE HOW STUPID THE REPLY WAS, BUT ARE ACTUALLY COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT AND JUST MAKE ME SEEM STUPID.
SOMEBODY *BAD PUN THAT MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER BUT IS ONLY USED IN THE PHRASE TO TRY TO SOUND WITTY* ME.
June 25th, 2008 at 10:14 pm
I think these are awesome.
[Mostly the girl with the stars and butterflies on her arm, and the other girl with the smaller design on her face...I think both of those look really cute. :]]
This type of tattoo reminds me of “white ink tattoos”; I think the white ink looks subtle and gorgeous, while this is more bold :] Either way, I think both styles are interesting and pretty. :]
<3
June 25th, 2008 at 10:27 pm
i will agree that getting a tattoo doesn’t have to be a regretful thing. Will it look as good 10, 20, or 30 years down the road, no. But if you make the choice in a right frame of mind and for your own reasons, there should be no reason for regret whatsoever. I personally don’t have any simply because i promised myself i wouldn’t get any till i moved out of my parents house. But when i do, these arms will be covered. I do, however, have big holes in my ears. yeah i get looks from people good and bad, but that doesn’t make me who i am. I lead worship, and it doesn’t bother the people at church, because they know who i serve, and that’s good enough for them. I have friends who have the most random, stupid (to me) tattoos, but it’s who they are and that’s what is important to them. They won’t regret doing it down the road, because they decided that, if in 10 years they don’t like the same stuff, they can at least look back and say these are things that made me who i am today. Nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. So before you go and bash someone’s choice they’ve made, remember that it’s their choice, and if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
June 26th, 2008 at 12:06 am
I lke how it never says anything about being approved for human use
June 26th, 2008 at 12:51 am
ANGRY ROY!!! I’VE HAD THE WORST FUCKING DAY AND YOU JUST MADE ME GRIN AND CHUCKLE!!! I’M NOT THE BEST WITH WORDS, BUT YOU FUCKIN RULE!! FUCK THE FAT ROUND-TARDS! HAHAHA! EAT SHIT AND GLOW! TEEEEEHEEEE! I LIKE HIM.
June 26th, 2008 at 1:35 am
@ Kat and Steffan
Actually the ink was FDA approved in 1995for use on animals but still it’s the only ink approved. And what’s the point of anyone telling that it is approved for human use if it’s not. Atm the company is trying to get a full approval for human use
June 26th, 2008 at 6:23 am
@sam ROY ROCKS. CAPS LOCK ROCKS. GO GET A GAY LOVER SAM IT WILL MAKE YOU STRESS LESS BRO. UV TATS R WAY COOL. IF U WANT 1 ITS UP TO YOU ITS A FREE WORLD PPL GET USED TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

June 26th, 2008 at 8:16 am
Whoever says people will regret tattoos, i’m sure you”ll look back at life and realize how glad you were that you were a stuck up prick who never lived. p.s.- fuck you : )
June 26th, 2008 at 8:59 am
these tattos u wont regret in 20 odd years cos u wont see them, unless u go to a night club which is ‘blacklighted’ and i mean how many 40+ people do that
June 26th, 2008 at 9:54 am
I personally have 2 tattoos one is now 9 years old and the other is 2 years old and I dont regret either at all (even though one of them is slightly scareed so the color is not 100% even) for me I had them done to remember important things in my life which means I cant imagine ever regretting them. Try not to judge people so quickly and assume everyone that has ever had a tattoo is sorry about it that’s REALLY narrow minded of you.
Personally love these but will wait a bit before I’d consider one just to make sure they’re safe enough and dont wreck quick :D.
June 26th, 2008 at 11:19 am
@ Angry Roy
Do you really think putting caps lock on makes you look smarter than them…?
June 26th, 2008 at 11:46 am
Wow!!! I want one… they are f**kin awesome!! anyone know where u can get these done?
June 26th, 2008 at 11:58 am
This is really cool. The picture of the inks shows a bunch of different colors, but all the pictures of the tattoos glow the same color.
Are there really different hues you can use?
June 26th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Yeah that guy with the bone arm tattoo will scare the SHIT out of the kids when he walks into chuck-e-cheese

lmao
June 26th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
heh the fact that there were so many funny angry comments makes up for only a handful of pictures.
seriously though kids, d’ya know how many angry comments there are to random posts like this?
let people have their opinions and stop wasting comments
June 26th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
stumble…scroll down, then shut the fuck up and poke it again
Shit
June 26th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
I agree with Angry Roy, if you don’t like it fucking move on, no one wants to hear how dumb you think everything is. And who the fuck cares what you have to say anyway (not you Roy, the nay-sayers) Hit stumble and get on with your fucking life, it’s people like you with all the negative comments about other people’s lives that make me want to move to a hide away in Alaska and avoid humans all together.
I love my tats, I love these tats and will prob now have to get one myself.
Nay-sayers…. Go fuck yourselves!
June 26th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
June 26th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
Its photoshopped.
June 26th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
Why would someone regret a tattoo? If it’s a “trendy” type of tattoo or something obscene, maybe yes. If it’s something meaningful or symbolic, such as family member’s names or religious icons, probably not.
Besides, it’s usually all of the non-tattooed or poorly tattooed people that always say “you’re gonna regret that…”
June 26th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Neat. More please.
June 26th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
FDA approved for tracking animals. Hardly makes it safe.
June 26th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
On the subject of FDA approval, is normal tattoo ink approved?
I’ve known people who’ve carved things into themselves with sharp objects (knives, thumbtacks, needles, etc) and rubbed biro into them. They’re not the prettiest or well done, but they last.
Who cares if a glow-in-the-dark tattoo won’t last 40 years. If you get it when you’re 18, you’ll be hitting clubs and parties for 10 or 15 years after.
Different coloured inks Should glow different colours - but only if they contain the pigment to do so.
I’d get an ‘invisible tattoo’ if i could afford to, or could find someone to do it here.
Just don’t get “I love sausage” or “I love David” on your arm…
June 27th, 2008 at 12:08 am
Another niche for ppl who cant get enough.
June 27th, 2008 at 12:12 am
Angry Roy, you are the fucking man. I love you, and your way of words. (in a straight way bro). Way to coin “CAPSFUCK.”
About these tats, I hate people who say the ink is FDA approved, period. At least add that the fishing portion.
——-
I’ll PayPal $5 to anyone who can provide me with a picture of an invisible UV Tattoo ink, that glows yellow under UV Radiation (a black light). before and after pics.
I’ll PayPal $2 to who can find me invisible UV Tattoo ink that glows a color other than blue under UV radiation. before and after pics.
I know the ink exists, because I found it here (last one on the page):
http://www.fake-proof.com/uv_tattoo_ink.htm
Thanks people. (I’ll check this frequently - just leave me a link if you find something)
June 27th, 2008 at 4:11 am
I think they look unreal…
June 27th, 2008 at 9:35 am
GET A LIFE AND GO CHECK OUT SOME PORN!!!
June 27th, 2008 at 11:53 am
this is the shit in deed, now thats one way to take some ones normal tat and pumps it up like 1000% I WANT ONE
June 27th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Thinking you’re the shit because you paid someone with talent to ink some cliché on your fugly ass is fucking hilarious. To the tat shop, lemmings!
June 27th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
Neat way to show off tattoos. I love mine. I got the first one 7 months after a gastric bypass to help cover stretch marks left after losing over 100 lbs. Currently I have a total of six on my back and they all have meaning and took a long time to choose. It is time to start on my belly though I’m not looking forward to the pain when they are being done
; But it’s much cheaper than a tummy tuck, but !!!
June 27th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Actually, I’m cool for not having them. People with tats are a bunch of trendy pricks anyways. That’s right, I said it. All you idiots with tramp stamps, those stars, it’s lame. You look like idiots.
http://hoseramaville.myminicity.com/
June 27th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
My friend has one of these on his forearm, almost completely invisible under normal light although you can see some scarring if you look closely. When we go to concerts or bars where they use black light it all shows up and it’s pretty sweet.
June 27th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
holy shit, i really want one of those. i really like the one of the stars that that girl has across her side.
and also, angry roy, chill. no need to get infuriated with mindless comments like that. they didnt even say anything offensive really, so yeah.
June 27th, 2008 at 6:16 pm
I like this almost as much as I like penis…
June 27th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
i like how some people were talking about how the FDA approved for animals, but not humans.
humans are animals.
(:
and the tattoos are pretty kickass.
June 27th, 2008 at 10:04 pm
i clicked “I like it!” so i can come look at the pictures again later. and show other people. who gives one about what anybody thinks ever. someone.
June 27th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Ok so where can I get one? Thats like soooo freaking awsome.
June 28th, 2008 at 4:08 am
UV is neat but I would never get a tattoo with it, just because no one would see it in normal everyday life. I like to show off my art.
ps white ink tattoos are a cop out…I dont consider them part of the tattoo world. someone has to be able to see it. sorry
June 28th, 2008 at 8:02 am
Everybody has their own opinions. If you like it, sweet. If not, then it probably would have been polite to not say anything, but people will say what they want to.
Anywayyyyyyyyy. Some of these are stupid, but some of them are gnarly.
June 28th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Maybe everyone who says those people will regret it later should shove it and stop focusing on all of the bad. It’s one of those things that isn’t life threatening and you should be able to laugh at your youth’s stupidity if you happen to hate it later on.
June 28th, 2008 at 10:55 am
THIS IS SO FUCKING AWESOME! I greatly enjoy the skeleton.
June 28th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
stupid.
June 28th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
WAFFLES ARE SO FUCKING AMAZING
June 29th, 2008 at 3:25 am
Ya gotta be kidding me ! Who are all these people trying to tell me what I”LL regret when they don’t even know me ….i don’t regret the tatts I got 35 years ago one bit …I’m still enjoying them …and I’ll venture to bet there are plenty of others that have tatts older than that that feel the same way ….If you have something NEGATIVE to say why don’t you word it like this…”this looks like something I would regret in 20 years so it’s not for me ” instead of trying to force your values on others . i know if i had youre values I WOULD REGRET THEM IN 20 YEARS !
Get a life …live a little
June 29th, 2008 at 4:24 am
Life’s too short to worry about regrets. Do it now, before it’s too late…and then do the next thing. Stopping to regret what you did yesterday just wastes today’s time - as does worrying about tomorrow.
June 29th, 2008 at 11:41 am
where were these done? one of the pics is used as an advertisement for a tattoo shop in toledo ohio.
June 29th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
Damn, that looks sweet
’specially the fore-arm flames.
nice.
June 29th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
Tattooed white girl with NO REGRETS. This shit is sweet. I got my UV done about 1 1/2 weeks ago (orange) It’s a whole new level as far as im concerned, doesn’t replace regular ink just enhances the picture.
June 29th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
The only reason a tattoo would “look like shit” in 10 years is if the person didn’t bother to put sunscreen on it. The sun is the biggest destroyer of tattoos.
Educate yourselves, folks.
And if you hate it in 20, buy some wrecking balm and stfu.
June 30th, 2008 at 4:03 am
The simple fact is that eople with tattoes fucking rule, and people who refer to them as a “mistake” or think that we’ll “regret” a tattoo, are just too pussy to get one and are just lealous that we have the F**King balls to go go out and be decisive. Every tattoo is meaningful whether you liek it or not, so eat shit and die if you cock-gobbling ass pirates think i’m gonna regret my art.
btw, these tats look amazing, but its true you should only get a UV tat if you do spend A LOT of time under a blacklight.
June 30th, 2008 at 11:41 am
I agree that if I got one, I would have to be under blacklight weekly to make these worth it. For everyone> Be sure you ALWAYS use sunscreen with tattoos, but these especially. My tattooist refuses to use UV ink because it will brown if it’s not cared for (and people aren’t always the most careful).
It is the tendency that those who say “You’ll regret it” either have none or regret their own mistakes. Case and point is my husband - he has been wanting one for years, but worries he’ll regret it when he’s 70. I don’t think he’ll give a crap at that age, but that’s me. He has to make his own choice.
And for those who say tattoos are just trendy or conformist or whatever: You probably don’t have them or want them, so you can’t understand what’s it about or how it feels. I have tattoos I love and more planned, and they all hold meaning for me. Even “pointless” tattoos can make you smile - and that’s what it’s about! It’s about what makes *YOU* happy. If it makes you happy to have virgin skin, then by all means don’t let a needle touch it, but you shouldn’t try to tell others they need virgin skin too. Everyone is different.
To all: Whether you’re for tattoos or against them - no one needs to talk so negatively. Bad karma. To each his/her own.
June 30th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
uv tat’s seems like a great idea to me, I’ve got a few planned already…
caps lock is cruse control for angry. rock on angry folx
June 30th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
I have to admit, the skeleton arm looks great. I would be amazed if I were in a club and saw that glowing on someones arm. But Steffan made a good point, how often are you under a black light? I mean really. Why tattoo something on your body that you or nobody else will see unless you are at a club, playing laser tag, or like he said, carrying around a little black light. Then you just look like a douche.
June 30th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
now i can get a tat of my best friend’s mom’s name without him finding out lol
July 1st, 2008 at 8:43 am
i think this is pretty cool. would show up in some clubs very nicely as well.
July 1st, 2008 at 8:44 am
tacky as hell. and me thinks its pretty unsafe as well
July 1st, 2008 at 11:44 am
UMM, AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE? I WAS JUST STUMBLING THROUGHOUT MY DAYTIME, AND I COME ACROSS THIS PAGE TO FIND THAT A GOOD NUMBER OF PEOPLE THINK THAT I CONVEY SOME SORT OF ASSHOLE-ISM. I FIND THIS VERY SHOCKING, AND VERY UNEXPECTED. CONSTANT UNINTERRUPTED CAPITALIZATION IS JUST A TRAIT THAT RUNS IN MY FAMILY. MY FATHER, MR. POP-UP, HAS BEEN TAKING SHIT HIS WHOLE LIFE AND NOW HE’S CONSTANTLY AVOIDED, AND MY MOTHER, MRS. BROKENLINK HAS ALSO HAD TO FACE CRITICISM FROM A LARGE NUMBER OF PEOPLE, AND THIS ISN’T EVEN THE END OF IT. MY *WHOLE* FAMILY. I HAD TO USE AN ASTERISK, BECAUSE IT’S HARD TO EMPHASIZE WORDS WHEN I’M CONDEMNED TO SPEAKING IN CAPITALS. TO LIST A FEW CLOSE TO ME, WHO HAVE TO PUT UP WITH *YOU* PEOPLES BULLSHIT: MY BROTHER AUTO-PLAY, MY SISTER CHAINLETTER, MY BEST FRIEND COMIC SANS, EVEN MY LITTLE DOG NAMED COOKIES. I’M FED UP WITH ALL THIS HATE, AND IT SEEMS LIKE THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS IS DR. L-E-D WHO KEEPS ME COMPANY WHEN I’M AROUND. I DON’T UNDERSTAND ALL THIS HATE, I’M EVEN AFRAID TO LEAVE MY HOUSE, BECAUSE MY NEIGHBOR, SHIFTKEY, IS ALWAYS POINTING AT ME. SOMETIMES I JUST FEEL LIKE DELETING MYSELF…
July 2nd, 2008 at 1:32 am
haha, your all queer for arguing over the internet, get out abit yano
July 2nd, 2008 at 8:03 pm
First of all, you will only regret it if you get something stupid and meaningless.
And, I have one. You can barely see it (I’m pretty tan.) I think if you’re going to get a tattoo, but are scared this would be the best thing to get.
They are pretty bad ass.
July 5th, 2008 at 11:48 am
This is KICKASS! anyone saying otherwise shouldn’t be going to websites like this and stay with their barbie dolls
July 5th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
I think those are pretty cool.
And I love all 5 of my tattoos, even the ugly one. lol. Don’t regret one of them.
I PERSONALLY would want to get a tattoo thats always visible, just because I never go under a black light.
Still a cool concept.
July 5th, 2008 at 10:53 pm
All I want to know is 1)Why I have not heard of this before? and 2)Where in the hell do I get MINE?!?
July 6th, 2008 at 10:03 pm
I CAN’T READ! But I love the tattoo’s!! I have been lookin into getting one of these for the past few months. I want to have one you can see in the daylight and highlight it with the uv inks. Much like the panther one shown above!
July 7th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
This is way cool. I love tattoos. I have three. I partially regret one, only b/c I was bored and got it impulsively — I had some extra money that was burning a hole in my pocket. Eventually I’ll get it covered up. I plan to get something thoughtful and totally badass. A little glow-in-the-dark ink would fit the bill perfectly!!!
July 7th, 2008 at 10:19 pm
Tats are cool.
You fuckasses on the other hand…. No so much
Who gives a shit what anyone does to THEIR body? I don’t, neither should you.
July 8th, 2008 at 4:07 am
Too each his/her own.
I got my 1st tat 15 years ago and do not regret it in the least, but then again I didn’t do it on a whim. Nor where any of my other tattoos spur of the moment.
People need to just stop being in to everyone’s business.
Don’t like tattoos, don’t get one.
As for the safety factor, I don’t trust the FDA, but they have approved all the other tattoo inks, so why would this UV ink be any less safe?
July 8th, 2008 at 5:03 am
HAHAHAHAHA u guys are bunch of fucking morons!!! Its funny how you fucks get worked up over this shit, tattos been around for centuries, you are not goin to stop it no matter how fucken dumb comment you make on a blog you stumbled upon. The reality is that the these are pretty cool, if you are white etc you cant see them under normal light, so you wont have to worry about people making a judgment about you without getting to know you and people who are like you and go clubbing or raving will find these mad and will think they’re cool, they got more of a life than reading blogs n gettin angry at new inventions. The only thing i’d be worried about is how safe these are and their aging factor. so unless you know the full facts…shut d fuck up and crawl back under under ur fucken rock. peace out fuckers.

Ignoring all the ridiculous fighting and commenting solely on the subject at hand.
I have a UV tattoo that I got when I was pretty young (an array of stars on my left foot) because I thought, as a naive 16-year-old, my parents wouldn’t be able to see it. I’m a medium-skinned caucasian and you can ABSOLUTELY see the ink on my foot, granted if you don’t know it’s there, you really need to look for it but it’s definitely visible.
In the summer, I cover it with zinc oxide (that, along with my seven other tattoos) and I have had no problems with discoloration or fading in any of my pieces; I get strange tan-lines yes, but I’d rather my ink keep its ‘integrity.’
I live on Long Island and had to go into the City to find someone who not only had the ink, but would tattoo a 16-year-old. My guy now and I have spoken about the UV tat and he said he’d be willing to order the ink if I or anyone else requested it.

I got a tattoo with this ink in the mid-nineties while working at a tat shop. After a couple years the ink no longer glowed on my tattoo.
Hopefully they have improved the ink. I never thought to ask how long the stuff worked before I jumped right in and got it.

I do think this is pretty sweet, and yeah, it’s been covered, but I’m juts a bit wary as to the long term side effects. It’s cool to see the few people that have commented and have had this sort of work done and aren’t dead, haha. Congratulations, guys. For now, I think I’ll stick to my regular inks, thanks.
And as for the tattoo haters.
Boooo! =P

The same people that “Regret” tattoos are the same people that either dont have the balls to get them, or regret getting the snoopy ink’d on their taint because they were feeling wild and crazy that one night loaded on peach schnapps…

@EVERYONE IN HERE THAT’S ARGUING LIKE A BUNCH OF WET CAT BITCHES-
Winning an arguement over the internet is like winning the special olympics. Even if you do win, you’re still retarded.
:c

Holy shit. Calm Down, people. They’re just tattoos, and they’re not even YOUR tattoos. No reason to make asses of yourselves by yelling at one another. (Oh, wait, I forgot. That’s what they invented the internet for.)
Btw: The invisibility of these tattoos isn’t fool-proof. Often, the stencil will get embedded into the tattoo (which isn’t a problem with regular tattoos because the colored ink hides it). I really wouldn’t suggest getting one of these on your face (or anywhere visible, for that matter) if you intend to get work anytime soon, seeing as they may not be completely invisible.

these ARE badass! they are a whole new level of cool! I wan to know where to find the ink
October 28th, 2008 at 8:22 am
…and how do they look without the black light??
October 29th, 2008 at 8:41 am
Oh, my. What retards! How the hell do you think that this shit will not be visible under normal light? It’s still a tattoo and it still will scar. People get scarification pieces done by a tattoo machine without any ink in it! Just because the ink isn’t colored doesn’t mean that your skin won’t scar where the needle enters.
Besides, UV ink doesn’t age well at all. In about 5 years it starts to morph into colors that look like a bruise; yellow, green, purple. The tattoos honestly look like a weird, scarred bruise. It’s not pretty at all.
Just get a real tattoo… one that you know WILL stand the test of time. Fuck this gimmick bullshit.

I dont get all this regret and a time frame thing.
Im sure people will regret many things if they are not living sensibly, a bit of ink is hardly a life of drinking or smoking or not loving enough or not being brave enough to make big decisions.
But why focus on the negatives or the idiots all the time? (have i just done that with this post??)
I have a tattoo, and its bright fucking green and its never going away.
Will it look good in 10 or 20 years time? It will look exactly the same, maybe a little faded if i dont get it touched up.
And?
if this is one of my regrets when i am old then I have seriously failed at having a full life.

That is sooo amazing!! If you don’t like it (how can you NOT like it?) Then don’t get it. I however will be getting some done. That would be amazing!
November 1st, 2008 at 7:16 am
I’ve seen these before and you can barely even see it. If you aren’t looking for it, you’d never see it. That’s awesome!
November 1st, 2008 at 8:03 am
fucking awesome!!
are they visible under normal light?
November 1st, 2008 at 10:13 pm
Actually, the ink HAS NOT been approved by the FDA.
Right on their website about tattoos
http://www.fda.gov/consumer/features/tattoos120607.html
it says;
“Similar to other inks, the use of ultraviolet (UV) ink for glow-in-the-dark tattoos also has not been approved by FDA.”
also, several UV inks are suspected carcinogens and allergens and at this time, no research has been conducted into the possible side effects of long term exposure. Some UV inks are known to yellow or turn slightly brown with sun exposure.

This is perfect - I’m thinking some woman needs to get a lower back “trailer tat” that looks like a big SPLAT but only shows up in UV light. Now THAT would be funny !
ROFLMAO!!!!
November 3rd, 2008 at 12:40 am
I think these are really awesome, but I really love stumbling and realizing just how immature people can be. I am 18 years old and I know how to not act like a dumbass. Roy dude, chill out man, not everyone likes tattoos, its sad i know, because tattoos rock, but it’ll be ok, i promise.
