UV Tattoos – Tattoo Pictures

Blacklight or UV tattoos can be seen under a black light but are invisible or only partially visible in normal light. The ink received USFDA approval in 1995 for use in animals, plants and fish for the purpose of tracking migration, growth patterns, breeding habits… No other tattoo inks have received approval in this way. This ink is most likely the safest ink on the market. It contains NO phosphors. it is not radioactive, it does not contain EverGlow, it does not cause cancer and it’s FDA approved.

  1. Totally cool tats man. Check out the ones on my site too.

  2. james says:

The same people that “Regret” tattoos are the same people that either dont have the balls to get them, or regret getting the snoopy ink’d on their taint because they were feeling wild and crazy that one night loaded on peach schnapps…

  3. @EVERYONE IN HERE THAT’S ARGUING LIKE A BUNCH OF WET CAT BITCHES-

Winning an arguement over the internet is like winning the special olympics. Even if you do win, you’re still retarded.

    :c

  4. Jesseca says:

Holy shit. Calm Down, people. They’re just tattoos, and they’re not even YOUR tattoos. No reason to make asses of yourselves by yelling at one another. (Oh, wait, I forgot. That’s what they invented the internet for.)

Btw: The invisibility of these tattoos isn’t fool-proof. Often, the stencil will get embedded into the tattoo (which isn’t a problem with regular tattoos because the colored ink hides it). I really wouldn’t suggest getting one of these on your face (or anywhere visible, for that matter) if you intend to get work anytime soon, seeing as they may not be completely invisible.

hi i have a big mind issue i want to no if some one tattoo with uv what are the Consequently ordamage to health what are the bad thing could happen now or in the future ? want info!

  7. Tom P664 says:

    Ummm charlie
if someone answerd in english would you even understand?

  8. ... says:

Tom… No need to be an ass. It is a valid question.

  9. Kairi says:

these ARE badass! they are a whole new level of cool! I wan to know where to find the ink

  10. Rodrigo says:

…and how do they look without the black light??

  11. You are idiots says:

Oh, my. What retards! How the hell do you think that this shit will not be visible under normal light? It’s still a tattoo and it still will scar. People get scarification pieces done by a tattoo machine without any ink in it! Just because the ink isn’t colored doesn’t mean that your skin won’t scar where the needle enters.

Besides, UV ink doesn’t age well at all. In about 5 years it starts to morph into colors that look like a bruise; yellow, green, purple. The tattoos honestly look like a weird, scarred bruise. It’s not pretty at all.

Just get a real tattoo… one that you know WILL stand the test of time. Fuck this gimmick bullshit.

  12. Rach1607 says:

omgomg!!!! i am actually looking for an idea for my third tattoo and i think we’ve found a winner!!

  13. I.Y. says:

I dont get all this regret and a time frame thing.

Im sure people will regret many things if they are not living sensibly, a bit of ink is hardly a life of drinking or smoking or not loving enough or not being brave enough to make big decisions.

But why focus on the negatives or the idiots all the time? (have i just done that with this post??)

I have a tattoo, and its bright fucking green and its never going away.

Will it look good in 10 or 20 years time? It will look exactly the same, maybe a little faded if i dont get it touched up.

    And?

if this is one of my regrets when i am old then I have seriously failed at having a full life.

  14. You All Suck says:

That is sooo amazing!! If you don’t like it (how can you NOT like it?) Then don’t get it. I however will be getting some done. That would be amazing!

  15. You All Suck says:

I’ve seen these before and you can barely even see it. If you aren’t looking for it, you’d never see it. That’s awesome!

  16. saoirse says:

    fucking awesome!!
are they visible under normal light?

  17. Gray says:

Actually, the ink HAS NOT been approved by the FDA.
Right on their website about tattoos
    http://www.fda.gov/consumer/features/tattoos120607.html
    it says;
“Similar to other inks, the use of ultraviolet (UV) ink for glow-in-the-dark tattoos also has not been approved by FDA.”
also, several UV inks are suspected carcinogens and allergens and at this time, no research has been conducted into the possible side effects of long term exposure. Some UV inks are known to yellow or turn slightly brown with sun exposure.

  18. bigmama says:

This is perfect – I’m thinking some woman needs to get a lower back “trailer tat” that looks like a big SPLAT but only shows up in UV light. Now THAT would be funny !

    ROFLMAO!!!!

  20. Lauren says:

I think these are really awesome, but I really love stumbling and realizing just how immature people can be. I am 18 years old and I know how to not act like a dumbass. Roy dude, chill out man, not everyone likes tattoos, its sad i know, because tattoos rock, but it’ll be ok, i promise.

  21. Lollerskates says:

loloololol, the comments are better than the pictures themselves

  22. alicia says:

sam, i think you’re trying too hard to appear smart and better than the rest of the people commenting. if you’re taking the time to do so, you’re just as bad as the rest of us.

  23. Jsweetburn (A.K.A. SPAM) says:

TO THE CAPSLOCK FAMILY, I AM SO SAD THAT YOU GO THROUGH ALL THE PREJUDICE THAT YOU DO. I HATE TO SEE GOOD TALENTS GET SHIT ON. PERSONALLY I LOVE COOKIES AND POPUPS, THEY COULD BE A PART OF MY FAMILY AUNTIE VIRUS AND UNCLE ERROR…GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR ASTRIX HOPE YOUR SEMI-COLON IS WORKING OK

  24. Jsweetburn (A.K.A. SPAM) says:

PS I HAVE REAL TATOOS AND WOULD NEVER WANT THAT FAKE ASSED GLOW IN THE DARK CRAP ON MY BODY, SHIT WHY BE A CHICKEN? GIT ER DONE!

  25. jjarvis says:

    im angry!!

  26. Dr. Huesos says:

I am in my late 60s and have several tattoos done over 25 years and am ready to get a couple more. If you are thoughtful in what you get, you should never regret a tattoo. If you do, you are the wrong person for a tat or made a bad selection. Own it!

  27. zom-b slayer says:

ive never seen people bitch about people bitching at eachother before. i find it strange, pointless, and just a little hypocritical. if we can’t respect other people’s opinions, then what’s the point of posting our own?

  28. zom-b slayer says:

now as for my opinion about the tats, i think they’re freakin awesome because they combine the trippiness of a blacklight with the badassity of a tattoo.

  29. bleed says:

i really think some designs would look real stupid glowing in the dark

    i think its cool
wouldnt want to get myself one though

  30. haaaa these are soo sick!!

  31. Brittany says:

Hey u guys canu let me kno where i can purchase the u.v. ink cause im really tryin to get it done.. please let me kno by emailin me at babyshay90@yahoo.com and for the subject put “u.v. ink” so i cankno what it is.. thank u~! ive ben looking for over a year now!

  32. Ms_Kelsey says:

I actually have two of these tattoos and I love them both. For those of you who say you may regret tattoos and all of that are ignorant. There is so much going on in this world that will make us regret. But my tattoos will never be one of them. Too much bad shit going on for you to be so negative about stuff. Its a tattoo. A personal choice. Odds are one of you negative people may know someone in jail or someone that has had an abortion, maybe even yourself. And nobody is telling you how horrible it is or that you may regret your decision. We are just living our lives as happily decorated people. Tattoos are art. Not shameful.

  33. Ms_Kelsey says:

And there is a new ink out called Sun Ink. It’s all organic and made from plant pigments and stuff. It comes in regular tattoo ink colors as well as the uv tattoo ink. and the uv ink even comes in colors.

  34. Ashley :) says:

this page was fun to read :) lol
    peoples different opinions and everything

  35. jaysun says:

I don’t know why people who have them done in uv say that you can’t see it. They have blacklight ink that is brighter color than regular ink, and look amazing. If it was bad ink, they wouldn’t be able to sell it in the u.s. I wouldn’t use that shit from china, only from the u.s. You can have a reaction from regular ink, certain colors people are allergic too. I do tattoos and i’ve had alot of people ask me to get the ink and do one for them.

  36. Sanchez says:

there fkn awesome, i want 1 & i back up angry roy !

  37. ducktapedeb says:

last i knew this was america. freedom people. we’re all different. thank friggin god n we all have different tastes. although its not for me n i do have tats, others like it. accept it.

  38. Captured Ink says:

I think that look really cool. Could you not just get a tattoo done and outlined again with glow in the dark ink?

  39. Big stinky Inky says:

Personally I love the UV ink I have my whole arm done in tribal with a half inch outline done in white UV and it looks amazing but I found that it Is slightly noticeable in regular light (IF YOUr StARINg AT IT) I’m in law enforcement and needed something I could easily hide on my forearms as well and it turned out fantastic , and as for the cancer subject, F*** IT if the cigarettes , Sun motorcycle race fuel don’t give it to me then I think I’m pretty straight

  40. To Gray says:

If you read a full article from the FDA regarding tattoos in general (http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm048919.htm), you’ll find that the “FDA has not approved any tattoo pigments for injection into the skin. This applies to all tattoo pigments, including those used for ultraviolet (UV) and glow-in-the-dark tattoos.”
In addition, they cite the use of henna in their next paragraph stating: “The use of henna in temporary tattoos has not been approved by FDA. Henna is approved only for use as a hair dye.”
This page was updated: February 23, 2009.
You could inquire the safety of these particular types of tattoo ink possibly through their safety researcher at the FDA’s Arkansas-based National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR). A one Paul Howard, Ph.D.
